My name is Adam Critchlow and I am the founding director of The AC Product.
The Story...
Back in 2018, I realised that UK A Cappella was missing something; it was full of talent and passion but had no dedicated and established entity to turn to who would be on their side for live shows, studio recordings, competitions, video production, and all of the other many things that these amazing performers needed. Everything felt a bit isolated. So, I founded The AC Product with a simple mission, to serve the world of A Cappella in every way with the hopes of elevating it and to bring it to new audiences.
Starting as just a production house for audio and video, we accumulated a variety of awards for our post production, working with groups around the world. We then launched 'The Vocal Project' in 2022 with Vocal Jam and The Vocal Room (an A Cappella club-night and an A Cappella live lounge series). These ventures both share the ethos of The Vocal Project, to showcase vocal music in a consumable way for a mass audience. Since 2022 we have held Vocal Jams in nightclubs and venues all over the UK and The Vocal Room as accumulated over half a million views.
We then joined with The OAC, the leading UK A Cappella competition in 2023, seeking to grow the event to be a full weekend of vocal music, implementing one of our long term aims of education with masterclasses from some of the country's best vocal, arranging, and performance coaches.
What now? The mission never changes, we exist to serve, promote, and enhance the existing world of vocal music and pioneer new paths for its growth.
